My Most Important Decision—When I was around three years old, I knelt in my bedroom and prayed, asking the Lord Jesus Christ to be my Savior and receiving His sacrifice on the cross as payment for my wrongdoings (sins).
Technology—Visiting my father’s office one day years ago, I saw several mini-computers with their black and yellow displays. Though I wasn’t even old enough to read, those computers captured my interest. In the years since, I’ve had IT responsibilities ranging from maintaining a small web site to managing a small enterprise’s Internet presence, from writing bash scripts to being technical lead on a team migrating from a home-grown suite of applications to an integrated commercial ERP solution.
These days, I freelance. (For more information, visit Services Offered.)
Interests—How do I list them all in a few short sentences?! They range from taking road trips (preferably with my brother as my companion), visiting historic sites and hiking in the great out-of-doors to analyzing business operations, learning from others’ experiences and mentoring. If we both happened to attend the same event, you might find me running sound/audio engineering (something I’ve done for over 10 years), operating a video camera, photographing the occasion, or even coordinating the happenings.
Some articles I’ve written in years past:

- Mission to the Headhunters (pdf) – Book review of a fascinating, adventure-packed missionary narrative. (2002)
